Description

Tectyl 472 is a light oil-based corrosion preventive compound designed to protect industrial components during storage and domestic transport. Its water-displacing penetrant formula ensures effective corrosion protection, even on surfaces exposed to residual moisture.

Applied at a very thin 3 µm dry film thickness, Tectyl™ 472 delivers exceptional coverage of 68.5 m² per liter, making it a highly economical solution. Once cured, it forms a transparent, ultra-light oil film that prevents oxidation without altering the visual appearance of the part.

Performance has been proven under salt spray testing (≥ 5 days) and humidity exposure (≥ 75 days), making it a reliable choice for indoor storage and domestic shipment of machinery, tools, dies, automotive parts, and industrial equipment.

The product can be applied by low-pressure air spray or dipping. For removal, it can be cleaned in the wet phase with Tectyl™ Biocleaner, Tectyl™ 150, or steam, and in the cured phase with Tectyl™ Biocleaner or Tectyl™ 150.
