Momentive RTV109 is a paste-consistency, neutral cure RTV silicone sealant designed for industrial, aerospace, automotive, and electronic applications. Unlike flowable silicones, RTV109’s paste formulation allows reliable application to vertical and overhead surfaces where self-levelling materials are not practical.

Once applied, RTV109 cures on exposure to ambient humidity, releasing acetic acid vapors during the process, and forms a durable silicone rubber that offers:

• Mechanical reliability with 325 psi tensile strength and Shore A hardness of 25.

• Environmental protection, resisting heat, cold, ozone, moisture, and chemicals.

• Electrical insulation with dielectric strength of 16 kV/mm, dielectric constant 2.8, and volume resistivity 6 × 10¹⁴ ohm·cm.

With a maximum continuous operating temperature of 204 °C and intermittent exposure tolerance up to 260 °C, RTV109 provides excellent reliability in demanding environments.
