Description

Tectyl 120 is a filled, solvent cutback, thixotropic corrosion preventive compound based on a wax/asphaltic formulation. Designed for underbody protection, it delivers outstanding durability against road salts, moisture, and environmental exposure.

Applied at a dry film thickness of 250 µm, Tectyl™ 120 ensures superior resistance to abrasion, mechanical impact, salt spray (≥ 40 days), and humidity (≥ 100 days). The result is a tough, resilient bronze-colored coating that adheres firmly to metal substrates and offers reliable corrosion prevention for extended periods—36 months indoors and 21 months outdoors.

Ideal for cars, trucks, buses, trailers, campers, heavy construction machinery, and shipping containers, Tectyl™ 120 can be applied by airless spray or brush. When removal is required, it can be stripped in the wet phase with Tectyl™ Biocleaner or Tectyl™ 150, and in the cured phase with Tectyl™ 150.
