Description

Tectyl 400-C is a wax-based corrosion preventive compound formulated for metal protection during storage, handling, and transportation. It is particularly suited for long-term indoor protection (24 months) and short-term outdoor exposure (6 months).

At a recommended dry film thickness of 25 µm, it delivers economical coverage of 16.3 m² per liter, making it a cost-effective solution for large-scale protection needs. Tested to perform under salt spray (≥ 8 days, ISO 9227) and humidity (≥ 21 days, ISO 6270-2) conditions, it ensures reliable corrosion resistance in demanding environments.

Once applied, Tectyl 400-C cures to a firm, dark amber translucent film that adheres well to metal surfaces. It can be applied by low-pressure air spray or dipping, and when no longer required, it can be removed with Tectyl™ Biocleaner, Tectyl™ 150, or steam cleaning.
