Description

Tectyl 846-K-19 is a premium general-purpose corrosion preventive coating based on a solvent cutback wax system. It provides superior protection for metallic surfaces against environmental corrosion during storage, handling, and overseas transport.

At a recommended dry film thickness of 50 µm, it delivers proven durability:

• ≥ 40 days salt spray resistance (ISO 9227, 5% NaCl @ 35 °C).

• ≥ 100 days humidity resistance (ISO 6270-2, 100% RH @ 40 °C).

It cures to a dark amber, firm, waxy translucent film that adheres well to various substrates, making it suitable for protecting general machinery, machine tools, automatic parts, dies, tubing, and spare parts.

With protection lasting up to 51 months indoors and 24 months outdoors, it ensures long-term corrosion prevention even under tough transport and storage conditions.

For application, airless spray, low-pressure spray, or brush may be used. The coating can be removed with Tectyl™ Biocleaner, Tectyl™ 150, or steam cleaning when no longer required.
